QIIB said in a statement on Monday that the bank's systems are safe and not easy to penetrate.
The bank made the statement in response to a recent audio clip circulating on the social media about customers'exposure to fraudulent calls that resulted in their loss of money for them due to alleged weak systems used by the bank.
Denying the claim, QIIB stated,"This happened due to the failure of customers to follow the advice and repeated warnings sent by the bank, and not because of our systems."
The bank also warned customers not to provide confidential personal account data to any company or person.
QIIB said that it periodically sends messages to customers warning them of fraudulent calls and links claiming to be from banks or telecoms companies. The messages explain that banks cannot send messages or contact the customers and ask them for their secret numbers or codes to access banking services online or on mobile phones.
The bank affirmed that it reserves the right to take all legal measures against those who promote misinformation about the bank or its customers or to harm the high degree of trust, credibility and security that characterise all transactions of QIIB.
