QIIB Officially Announces The Launch Of The Mobile Banking Service

QIIB announced the official launching of the mobile banking service considered to be a virtual branch accessible to its customers.

QIIB's mobile service is characterized by many innovative services and options from comprehensive information, to the transfer of funds and direct maps of branches and ATMs, as well as the money transfer service with Western Union for the first time in Qatar through the mobile banking service.

The mobile banking service from QIIB was launched last year for the bank's customers and included services and benefits that made it easier on customers to know their account details and transfer money between internal and external accounts without visiting the bank's branches, in addition to the direct maps' feature which allows customers to discover the branches that operate at any requested hour and the ATMs according to their features: cash withdrawal, direct withdrawal and deposit in addition to other services.

Mr. Jamal Abdullah Al-Jamal, Deputy Chief Executive Officer at the Qatar International Islamic Bank explained: "We at QIIB, are very pleased with the official launching of this service which became a banking necessity in the modern world where smart technologies and services are required to allow customers to perform their banking transactions wherever they are and at any time. QIIB's team worked on developing a mobile banking service to be the virtual branch in the hands of customers".

He added: "QIIB is distinguished by launching a money transfer service with Western Union through mobile banking for the first time in the State of Qatar. It allows customers to perform their transactions in few minutes and spares them the trouble of going to money transfer centres and stand for a long time. We are delighted with this partnership with Western Union in launching this feature within the mobile banking service from QIIB".

QIIB mobile banking offers a distinct set of services that include viewing the details of the accounts and finances as well as transferring funds inside and outside of Qatar with a maximum daily amount of QAR 100,000. Customers can also transfer funds directly through Western Union service up to USD 7,500 per day (equivalent to QAR 27,375), pay Ooredoo bills and recharge directly in addition to paying Kahramaa bills.

QIIB banking mobile service is available on all types of smart phones such as iPhones, Android and Windows Phones in addition to BlackBerry, where all customers need to do in order to take advantage of this service is to download QIIB Mobile available in all app stores, then use a debit card (ATM card) and insert their PIN number to complete the registration process and enjoy a unique and distinct experience of banking services in the virtual world.
